Congratulations are in order for Chase Chrisley and his longtime (on-and-off) girlfriend Emmy Medders. After breaking up in August of 2021, the duo reunited in the spring of the following year. By August, they were attending weddings together and now it looks like there’s another wedding on the horizon.

On Friday, Oct. 21, the duo announced that they’re engaged! Here’s what we know about the over-the-top proposal and the couple’s upcoming nuptials.

On Oct. 21, Chase took to Instagram revealing that he popped the question a week and a half earlier at Nashville’s First Horizon Park.

“I am the luckiest man in the world,” Chase wrote along with a carousel of photos from his proposal. “Being able to call you mine forever is a blessing straight from God. You are the sunshine when it’s dark, you are the rain when it’s dry. I love you more than life itself and can’t wait to live forever with you!”

The photos show Chase leading Emmy to the middle of the baseball field and getting down on one knee in a bed of rose petals shaped like a heart. Another image shows the couple throwing up their arms in the direction of the dugout, where, according to People, both of their families had been watching the proposal.

“My dad is sick with ALS, so it was very special moment that he could travel to Nashville and be on the field,” Emmy shared with the outlet.

Following the announcement on social media, many of Chase’s family members shared their excitement in the comment section.

While Chase’s younger sister Savannah welcomed Emmy to the family, older sis Lindsie couldn’t hide her hope for the couple to start having babies. “Kidssssss ?,” she wrote on Emmy’s Instagram post.

On her own Instagram, Emmy shared a highlight reel from the proposal, including a close-up shot of her engagement ring. According to People, Chase presented Emmy with a 3.5-carat oval-cut diamond stunner, which appears to be set in a platinum diamond-studded band.

As of this writing, Chase and Emmy haven’t yet begun the wedding planning process, though they told People that they’d love to get married in Charleston, S.C. However, no matter where or when the wedding takes place, Chase said that one thing’s for sure — father Todd Chrisley will definitely be involved.

“I’ll tell you what,” he joked, “my dad is a wedding planner’s nightmare.”
