Cordae takes the TED Talk stage for his debut speech titled “The Hi Level Mindset.”
The two-time Grammy-nominated artist is used to being on the stage. However, this will be his first time taking the stage to perform a speech for the TED Talk forum. His speech titled “The Hi Level Mindset” explores what it takes to maximize a person’s full potential. The rapper delves into his upbringing as a child to a single parent and the strength of his mother.
He also encourages those listening never to give up even when hope seems bleak and to stay disciplined despite the challenges that may arise.
“We only have one life to live. 110 years maximum if you’re a health guru and you have great health insurance. How are you going to maximize your time on this earth,” Cordae says as his speech comes to close? “Each chapter isn’t going to be perfect, but how do you want your story to end? In anguish and a bunch of what-ifs or leaving a legacy. I choose legacy, the Hi Level way.”
He left his audience with five rules to live by: Remain positive, always be intentional with your desires, discipline equals excellence, remove negative people and create a legacy.
