After the “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” hitmaker revealed that his former beau was “the one” in Variety’s 2021 Power of Young Hollywood Issue — which was published on Aug. 11, 2021 — his relationship has since ended.

At the time, rumors circulated that his backup dancer may be the lucky man since they shared a kiss during his 2021 BET Awards performance, but he has remained tight-lipped about his ex-boyfriend’s identity.

In an interview with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy show, Lil Nas X revealed that he’s back on the market.

“I was seeing someone. I kind of decided I didn’t want to anymore,” Lil Nas X told Andy.

Andy went on to assume that the rapper has “thousands of people applying for the job of Lil Nas X’s boyfriend,” and he confirmed that there are a couple of people interested in dating him.

However, Lil Nas X went on to admit that he’s not in a rush to commit to anyone right now.

“I don’t think I want any guy right now, you know?” Lil Nas X said. “Maybe I’m floating around right now. I just want to work on music and every now and then, you know, maybe I’ll kiss a guy every blue moon, you know?”

“I feel like if I put any guy solo in a picture with me, we’re automatically dating. … One time, I was sitting in Subway with my brother, and then a few hours later there was [a headline], ‘Lil Nas X and his boyfriend eating Subway to celebrate 17 weeks at No. 1,'” the rapper laughed.
