When Kamie made her Catfish debut, she was in a relationship with Gordon Dillard. The pair was together when Kamie secured a full-time spot on the popular MTV series, but they ultimately parted ways in early 2022.
The model went on the Lovers and Friends with Shan Boodram podcast in February 2022 to discuss how difficult her break-up from Gordon was.
“This break-up was the hardest — I think it was probably the second hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through in my entire life…” Kamie said on the series. “I legit thought that I was going to have to be hospitalized. I was losing my mind… You have to kind of undo and unlearn and un-think and un-fantasize about the things that your life was supposed to be with this person.”
Kamie went on to say that they both changed over the years, and that their dynamic had shifted.
“We both agreed that we had a power shift in our relationship,” Kamie continued, before noting that the change was “off.”
Though she said that the two still loved each other, they recognized that things weren’t “right” in their romance anymore.
Kamie Crawford is a “serial monogamist,” and she dated Gordon from 2016 until 2022.
Kamie is now living her best single life — and she’s sharing her break-up and relationship advice on her own podcast, Relationsh*t with Kamie Crawford — but she did previously envision herself getting married to her now-ex, Gordon.
“We’ve traveled the world together, met our personal goals, & made our dreams a reality together — all while being each [other’s] rock through the hard times,” the 29-year-old wrote in the caption of an Instagram post in 2019. “Can’t wait to see where the next 3+ a gazillion more years take us. I love you baby.”
In a 2017 blog titled “Finding Your Soulmate,” Kamie revealed her tips for a successful relationship. “I’m not married, I’ve never been engaged — I’m just a serial monogamist that has taken a lot of time getting to know herself, her wants, her needs,” the TV personality shared.
“I’ve come to learn a lot about what love truly means just from the examples that have been set around me and what I’ve experienced,” she added. “I can definitely say that my boyfriend G has taught me a lot about what love is supposed to look like.”
The pair first met in May 2016, but they didn’t start dating right away.
“He was literally my twin to the point where it was scary,” Kamie confessed. “We started hanging out literally every day and before we both knew it, we were falling for each other and FAST. It felt so right and so natural, but also had us both a little shook.”
The brunette beauty went on to gush, “He is incredible. He pushes me to always be the best me that I can be and doesn’t stunt my hustle or try to dim my shine. He loves me unconditionally, but he’s a man — so he puts me in my place when I need to be left on the shelf for a second.”
In 2020, Kamie hinted that the couple could be getting engaged soon. The influencer admitted in a tweet that she was taken aback when her boyfriend said at the beginning of 2020: “We have like 5 weddings to go to this year and 1 to plan.”
She later clarified, “Y’all gotta chill. I don’t have my ring yet so don’t give him too much credit just yet.”
It does not appear as if Gordon and Kamie ever did get engaged, and the two are now on their own separate paths.
Currently, Kamie Crawford seems to be back on the dating market; single and not dating nor married to anyone now.
