Savannah Guthrie’s Kids: Who Is Savannah Guthrie Married To? Meet Her Husband Michael and Children

Savannah Guthrie “Would have waited a million more years” for her kids – but who is Michael Feldman, her husband?

Savannah Guthrie is on television every single weekday thanks to the Today Show, so it’s no surprise that dedicated viewers are curious to know more about the TV personality’s personal life. Specifically, fans are curious if the popular talk show host is married. So it turns out, the 50-year-old journalist has a husband named Michael Feldman, and he’s just as successful as his wife. Scroll down to learn all about Savannah’s husband!

Who is Savannah Guthrie’s husband?

Savannah Guthrie‘s husband is 53-year-old, Michael Feldman. The two started dating in 2009, got engaged in 2013, and said “I do” in 2014. Ever since they became husband and wife, they’ve been flaunting their adorable relationship all over Instagram. The pair looks happier than ever, so it’s about time we learned a little more about Michael.

The couple previously met at Michael’s 40th birthday party in 2008, so they’ve known each other for 11 years. Soon after this party, Savannah announced her divorce from her first husband, Mark Orchard, whom she wed in 2005. Michael and Savannah began dating soon after Savannah and Mark split.

At the time of her 2013 engagement to Mike in Turks and Caicos, the happy duo gushed about the sweet moment on Today. “He actually got on one knee and I still thought we were just talking. Really, honestly,” she said at the time. “And then, he brought out the box and then I didn’t open it for a long time cause I was just overcome.” Michael quipped back: “It’s not bad being the luckiest guy in the world.” Aww!

Just like his NBC co-anchor wife, Michael is also successful and has a really good job. He is the founding partner and managing director of a communications consulting firm called The Glover Park Group.

Before starting The Glover Park Group in 2001 with other former Al Gore advisors, Michael had some quality experience in politics. Michael previously graduated from Tufts University.

After college, he began his career in the US Senate. Soon after, he became part of Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, and when Bill won, Michael ended up serving as former Vice President Al Gore’s deputy director of legislative affairs and eventual chief of staff. Impressive!

Do Savannah Guthrie and Michael Feldman have children together?

Yes, Savannah and Michael are parents to two children together; a daughter and a son. Their kids’ names are Vale Guthrie Feldman and Charles Max Feldman.

In March 2014, Savannah and Mike tied the knot “in the middle of the desert” close to her hometown of Tucson, Ariz., as she later told Today viewers.

And during the candlelit reception dinner — after getting everyone’s attention with the NBC News “Special Report” music cue — she shared big news with her wedding guests: “I — well, we are four months pregnant.”

Savannah also said on Today, NBC’s morning news show, that she found out about her pregnancy after setting a wedding date and buying her wedding dress. “So I’ve been doing a little praying that I would fit in it, and it all worked out,” she added.

That August, Savannah gave birth to her daughter Vale Guthrie Feldman, who arrived at 8 lbs. 5 oz. and 19.5 inches.

“[Vale] has blue eyes, a little bit of blondish hair, and the chubbiest cheeks you’ve ever seen,” Savannah said at the time, per Today. “I think we found heaven in this little hospital room in New York City.”

In fact, in a past blog post for Today, Savannah gushed about how wonderful of a father Michael is. “When I see how Mike treats strangers, how he treasures and adores his family, how he has navigated some of the most intense and competitive work environments while never losing his honesty and grace and goodness,” she wrote. “I feel thankful that this is the father figure our child will get to grow up watching and emulating.”

Savannah had a good reason to miss the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio: She was pregnant with Baby No. 2 at the time. “I’m not going to be able to go to Rio, so you’ll have to go to beach volleyball without me,” she told her Today colleagues as she announced her pregnancy that June, per The Hollywood Reporter. (She did, however, say at the time that she was looking forward to covering campaign season, and sure enough, an eight-months-pregnant Savannah worked long hours on Election Day that November.)

In December 2016, Savannah and Mike added their son, Charles Max Feldman, to the mix. The little one weighed in at 9 lbs. 8 oz. and measured 21.5 inches. “We are so grateful. Blessings overflow. Along with tears of joy,” Savannah tweeted at the time.

Savannah said in an April 2019 interview with Health that she and Mike used in vitro fertilization to bring Charley into the world. “My husband and I, we decided, ‘OK, let’s give it a shot,’ you know? But it ended up taking more than one attempt. It took a few,” she told the magazine, per Today. “But we were lucky. I always say, Charley was, like, the last egg out. He really was. And we’re so blessed.”

Savannah opened up about motherhood in a chat with co-anchor Hoda Kotb on Today in 2018.

“I think what my kids have taught me the most is gratitude. I just felt lucky. And that’s crazy because sometimes I’m just like, ‘Calgon, take me away!’” she said, quoting the 1970s ad catchphrase for Calgon bath products. “But I think that, in general, I really, I love the crazy. … Now that I know Vale and Charley, I don’t want any other babies but them. I would have waited a million more years for them.”
