Markiplier who said that he will make an OnlyFans account so long as his community meets the “conditions” outlined in his announcement video, seems to have joined the platform already and is for a good cause.

If you’ve been on YouTube at all over the last 10 years, odds are that you’ve stumbled across Markiplier‘s videos at least once. The content creator is famous on the platform for his video walkthroughs of horror and indie games, as well as sketch comedy acts and collaborations with other famous YouTube stars. With roughly 19 billion views on his channel overall as of the time of writing, Markiplier (real name: Mark Fischbach) is about as big of a YouTube star as one could be.

With that being said, an internet celebrity of that caliber teasing joining a platform such as OnlyFans is bound to turn more than a few heads. Indeed, Markiplier might be getting a bit more NSFW. Let’s unpack the details surrounding the situation, and the conditions he gave his fans on joining the platform.

What was Markiplier‘s condition on joining OnlyFans?

During a recent YouTube video, Markiplier revealed that he has the intention to start an OnlyFans account in order to help raise money for charity. The choice was made off the back of seeing how successful his nude calendar charity campaign was back in 2018.

During his October 17 YouTube video aptly titled “I will start an OnlyFans,” the content creator explained how his OnlyFans account would work if he does in fact go ahead. Mark begans the video by stating that – should the “conditions” he sets be met – his Onlyfans account will be charity focused. “All of the proceeds through OnlyFans will be donated to charity.”

However, he reiterated to his audience that he “will only make an Onlyfans if you meet the following conditions.”

The first condition is that the Distractible podcast that he works on must hit number one on both the Apple podcast charts and on Spotify. Distractible features Mark who runs the podcast alongside his two co-hosts Wade Barnes and Bob Muyskens. Together, the three talk about everything from the gaming community to their day-to-day lives, and much more.

Mark added to this condition that they’ve “never been number one on Apple Podcast” but have been on Spotify for a “brief day.” The second condition is very similar in that it then requires fans to also listen in on his other podcast, Go! My Favorite Sports Team. This sports-centric podcast is run by Mark and Tyler Scheid, with the two talking about all things sports and athletes each week.

Did Markiplier join OnlyFans? He made a deal with his fans.

Given the fact that Markiplier’s content has largely focused on gaming and comedy for years, his deviation to OnlyFans came as a surprise to many followers. In October, he told fans that he wasn’t ready to make the transition quite yet, but made a deal with them.

Markiplier wants his fans to help get his two podcasts, Distractible and Go! My Favorite Sports Team, to the No. 1 positions on both Spotify and Apple’s podcast charts.

In December 2022, it seems that he officially reached his goal, as he announced that his OnlyFans was officially up and running.

“The deal is now complete,” he said at the start of a video announcing the launch of the site. “The proceeds of [the OnlyFans] will all be going to charity. They will be split evenly between the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in my hometown of Cincinnati, and the World Food Program — because if you’re going to quench your thirst, we may as well try to feed some people.”

Not long after Markiplier made the announcement, OnlyFans saw an influx of traffic and subsequently was down for a little bit — but it seems the site is up and running just fine at the time of writing.

The first set of images is now already up on the site for those who want to contribute to a good cause (or just want to thirst over the YouTube icon), an he reportedly has more in the works. His page currently has 23,000 likes.

Markiplier previously released a nude calendar back in 2018.

This is not the first time that Markiplier has bared it all for the internet to see. Indeed, the YouTuber released a “tasteful nudes calendar” a few years back for $30 that promptly sold out.

“I promised that when I hit 20 million subscribers I would release my Tasteful Nudes… AND I’M A MAN OF MY WORD!!” he wrote at the time.

Markiplier then noted that “these are TASTEFUL nudes which means that, while I am indeed very extremely naked, anything that might be considered obscene has been tastefully censored by foliage, frisbees, passersby, etc. …”
