Who Won MrBeast’s Squid Game? 15 Things About The Video: Cost, Challenges, YouTuber-Influencer Participants, Sponsor, More

YouTube star, Jimmy Donaldson who is popularly known online as MrBeast has finally released his anticipated Real-Life Squid Game on his YouTube channel – here are some reviews.

MrBeast has finally unleashed his rendition of Netflix’s hit show, Squid Game, after a month of teasing the $3.5 million project — and the YouTube star’s version is nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Over the past several weeks, YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has been dropping small teasers for his highly-anticipated Squid Game reenactment.

The influencer is known for his intense, high-budget projects, and as one of YouTube’s most popular creators, this video was bound to happen in wake of the show’s worldwide acclaim.

On November 24, MrBeast finally uploaded his rendition of Netflix’s #1 show, Squid Game, which pits desperate debtors against each other in various children’s games for a massive cash prize.

While fans have seen MrBeast share in-progress pictures of his crew building out the sets for his Squid Game (or rather, MrBeast Game), his attention to detail in each set was mind-blowing when the full scale of the project was actually revealed.

The creator included several games from the show, including Red Light Green Light, Tug of War, Dalgona, and, of course, marbles.

However, MrBeast’s versions of the deadly show were decidedly less life-or-death; the YouTuber outfitted all 456 players with props that would explode with a ‘bang’ when they were eliminated, and would ‘play dead’ after losing a challenge.

MrBeast also had a different spin on certain games; rather than allowing the nighttime beatdown that happened in episode 3, he made players compete against each other in a game of ‘ddakji.’

The influencer also switched up the show’s final challenge, ‘Squid Game,’ instead opting for a high stakes game of musical chairs set to music from the series — and although they created a full-scale model of the Red Light Green Light robot, she didn’t have any motion-detecting sensors or swivel her head around.

In keeping with the show, player 456 lasted right up until the final game — but it was player 079 who ended up bringing home the $456,000 cash prize.

This latest work from MrBeast shows that the content creator is pulling out all the stops to stay on top of the YouTube game, and it’s clear that his efforts aren’t going to waste. The video is less than 24 hours but close to 50 million views.

These are fifteen (15) reviews from MrBeast’s Squid Game Real-Life creation compiled by TheVibely.com.

The cost of the production of the video by MrBeast was estimated to be around $3.5 million. It was sponsored by Brawl Stars, a multiplayer online battle arena and third-person hero shooter video game developed and published by the Finnish video game company Supercell.

#5. The video was not scripted.

One controversy on the internet about MrBeast has always been the allegation that his videos are faked and that he is not a billionaire to be doing mind-blowing giveaways as shown on his 76.9 million subscribed YouTube channel. However, this very content he has produced is another indication that he is real and all his giveaways are not fake.

What shows MrBeast’s Squid Game Real Life creation is not scripted is that the main character in the Korean series, number 456 was eliminated and that he could have fixed everything on his behave for him to win the prize.

#6. The first challenge was the “Red Light”, “Green Light” game.

Participants had just 30 minutes to cross the red line in the “Red Light, Green Light” game. Just as in the original Korean series, the Robot will spot any motion the participants make when it’s Red Light and until it’s Green Light, they get to move towards the Red Line and other thing gets them eliminated. Every player had a device strapped to them that pops when they are eliminated. Over 100 people were already eliminated at 05:5. At the elapse of the 30 minutes, 232 participants out of the 456 survived.

#7. The second challenge was the honeycomb game.

In the 10 minutes Honeycomb challenge, every participant got a cookie and a needle and was allowed to remove the shape on the cookie but anyone who broke the shape was eliminated. The 232 participants were grouped into 4 and each row was given different shapes. At the end of the game, only 142 participants remained. All the eliminated participants walked away with $2,000.

Interestingly enough, 22 participants out of the 142 who made it to the next game gave up when they were given an offer of $4,000.

#8. The third challenge was The Tug of war game.

The 120 participants split into groups of 12 groups of 10 people and partaken in the Tug of war challenge. At the end of this challenge, there were 60 participants remaining.

#9. The fourth challenge was The Marbles Game.

As in the original squid game Korean series, the third challenge was the Marbles game. In this challenge, MrBeast made the 60 remaining participants pair with their best friends in a group of two, and only one survived in each. In this game, every participant was given a bag of 10 marbles and they had to agree to play against their best friends. They were allowed to get creative and play any game they want and at the end of this challenge, only 20 participants remained.

#10. The fifth challenge was the Duchy Game.

The 20 participants used a blue piece of paper to flip a red object on the ground. At the end of this challenge, only 16 survived.

#11. The sixth challenge was the Glass Bridge Game.

In the Glass Bridge challenge, MrBeast filled a room with 16 mannequins and every 16 participants had to choose one which had on them a hidden number written in Korean. The number they chose was the order in which they have to cross in the Glass Bridge challenge. On the Glass Bridge, the participants had two platforms to jump on; one dropped them and the other held them. All those who were dropped landed safely on a giant foam. At the end of this challenge, only 6 participants survived the last challenge.

#12. The seventh challenge was the Musical Chairs Game.

This challenge was not inclusive in the original Squid Game Korean series but to make it looks like a different creative idea but with inspirations from the director of the original series, MrBeats made the 6 finalists play the Musical Chair game to battle for the grand prize, a whopping $456,000.

According to MrBeast, the Musical Chairs game was because none of his participants were Koreans and had no experience of the real childhood game played in Korea.

#13. The fighting scene was not inclusive in MrBeast’s Squid Game.

Here in the original Korean series, the game master starved the inmates so they killed themselves but it was one scene MrBeast didn’t recreate. And the reason is that MrBeast wanted a friendly recreation and not one that will be to the detriment of his participants.

#14. The most aggressive participant was No. 456.

In the game, everyone was expecting participant No. 456 to make it to the top two finalists because he exhibited massive aggressiveness in the video. During the last challenge which was the musical Chair game, the No. 456 was eliminated from the challenge for sitting earlier before the music ended.

#15. Who won the MrBeast Squid Game real life creation?.

Participant number 079 was the winner of the $456,000 much-anticipated MrBeast’s Squid Game video. Followed by him was participant number 330 who walked home with $10,000 for placing second.
