David Adedeji Adeleke Jnr also known as Ifeanyi was born on the 20th of October 2019 in the United Kingdom (UK) to Osun State native Davido and his fiancee Chioma of Igbo ethnicity. Prior to his birth which was announced on social media, Ifeanyi became one of the most anticipated celebrity babies in Nigeria.

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido’s family is currently in the prayers of many fans after rumours made the rounds that his son, Ifeanyi, is dead.
In the late hours of Monday, October 31, 2022, news started to make the rounds on the Nigerian social media space that the three-year-old had lost his life.
On what caused his death, Ifeanyi Adeleke got drowned a few days after his third birthday which was on October 20, per a report by KemiFilani.
A source close to the family stated; “The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said under anonymity to await an official statement.
He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Per the same source, his parents, Davido and Chioma had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.
Before his rather sad and shocking death, Ifeanyi’s parents; Chioma and Davido had celebrated his third birthday in grand style.
While the reports were not confirmed, a close friend of the singer, Eniola Badmus, did nothing to allay the fear of fans with her social media post. On Instagram, Badmus posted a heartbroken emoji with an equally disturbing caption.
Ifeanyi’s nanny and eight others were arrested over his death
At least nine persons, including Ifeanyi’s nanny and cook, have been arrested by the police in Lagos State in connection with his death.
According to a source, “About nine people have been arrested for negligence, including his nanny and their cook. Chioma is broken. David is in tears. They are both at his dad’s house in Lekki and nobody from 30BG is allowed there. His 30th birthday plans have been put on hold. The real story is crazy. How the kid opened a huge thick door and got outside, nobody knows. The arrested people are criminally negligent.”
