Controversies
Offensive language: On March 14, 2022, Meowbahh uploaded a TikTok where he reads the comments under his videos. In the video, he said the word “retard”. Many people have since criticized him for this. He then made up a response video where he apologized to the “disabled fandom”. However, people got even madder when seeing his response video, since he was eating while recording his voice and “showed he didn’t really care about the topic”.
Discord server: On March 18, Meow made a Discord server after he reached 10,000 followers on TikTok. Later, several clips have been uploaded on TikTok where he can be seen telling people to end their life and saying slurs on the server. Many people then joined the server to troll and spam slurs which led to Meow making a response on TikTok and later, he made a new server.
Racism: Meowbahh would claim to speak Japanese, but his pronunciations of Japanese words in his videos were off. Most people criticized him and called him a “cringey weeaboo”, with some accusing him of racism due to him disrespecting the language and fetishizing Japanese culture. It is suspected that his Japanese usage comes from Google Translate since his pronunciations and grammar are broken.
