You must be living under the rock to not know who Eminen is. The American rapper, and producer is credited with popularizing hip hop in middle America and is critically acclaimed as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
Born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, he has three children namely Hailie Jade, Alaina Marie Mathers, and Stevie Laine Mathers. His 27-year-old daughter goes by her first and middle names, Hailie Jade. She is a musical artist and podcaster, who recently interviewed Eminem’s brother that got the world to notice him.

Who is Nate Mathers?
Nathan “Nate” Kane Samara-Mathers is a musician and the maternal Half-brother of eminem. Nathan is 14 years younger than Eminem and as of 2023 he is now 37 years old.

Mathers is popular for being a brother to Eminen. In 2003, Nathan leaked straight from the lab disc, causing tracks on Encore to be replaced. Many people believe this was done in an attempt to get attention. In 2012, he claimed his penis fell off also seen as an attempt to get attention. Nathan wrote some songs such as, Shadow Of A Celebrity. Many are unsure if this song is directed towards Eminem, of course because of the title and content of the song it is speculated that it is directed towards his older brother.

Em spends much of his life fiercely private, but we’ve received insight into his home thanks to his daughter, Hailie Jade. On her recent episode of her Just A Little Shady podcast, Hailie was joined by her “bruncle.”
“Nate is my uncle — my dad’s younger brother — but also we kind of grew up together because Nate lived with us for a while when I was young,” said Hailie. “I would say brother-uncle, you definitely act younger than your age. We are closer in age than you are to [my] dad, but still, I never realize how much older you are than me because I feel like you are like a brother.”
Eminen and Nate have the same mother.
Eminem and Nate share a mother, and he was 12 when Hailie was two. Their mother’s name is Debbie Nelson. The rapper accused their mom of triggering his addiction and substance abuse and took every opportunity to denigrate her in his music. Yet, despite the hostility, mother and son were able to make amends and forgive each other.
In Hailie’s interview with Nate, she mentioned that although she has memories of her father’s early fame, Nate was old enough to understand what was happening. “Yes, I started understanding a little more when reality would hit when I would start seeing [Eminem] on TV and going to shows and all the signatures and crazy people,” said Nate. “I am like, ‘Alright, well, this is real’… A few years later, when I was able to leave from being under my mom’s care, I moved in with you guys.”
It didn’t take long for Em’s younger brother to begin copying his style. “[Eminem] would get so many free clothes, and would buy clothes — I would just take them,” Nate recalled. “I would take his hand-me-downs… When I was 12 and went to your dad’s first show, my cousin, John, convinced me that not only should I dye my hair, but that my brother dyes his eyebrows. Being young, I am like, ‘Oh, really? I want to dye my eyebrows too. Sounds like the perfect idea — I want to look like twins.’ Not the case.”
Nate Mathers is also musician who began writing songs at a young age.
Being surrounded by the industry also inspired Nate to also get involved with music. He said he began writing at a very young age, and later, began to take lessons from Eminem. “I had learned from your dad how to do music and how to write formulas, compound syllables and tested it out in the beginning,” he also shared. “From there, I started looking around for beats and whatnot and got comfortable enough with my voice and writing skills that I started recording and getting a feel for how I would deliver songs and how that would formulate to where people would enjoy it.”
Nate was aware that anything he did musically would be compared to Eminem. For him, “it was never about that.” He just wanted to have fun and “do something that other people would enjoy. Check out the Just a Little Shady episode below.
Nate sees Eminem as a great role model.
The Love The Way You Lie hitmaker has a half-sister named Sarah Mathers and a half-brother named Michael Mathers on their father’s side and a half-brother named Nathan Mathers from Eminem’s mother, Debbie Nelson.
Eminem became a father figure to his brother after Nathan’s dad walked out on Debbie shortly after welcoming their son. It was claimed that social services were often called to the property where Nathan lived with his mother because Debbie was allegedly not taking care of her offspring.
Fortunately for the then-teenager, Eminem was awarded legal custody of his younger brother when the latter turned 16.
In Nate’s interview with Hailie, she recognized that people speculated about what it was like living with Eminem. His lyrics have cast a dark shadow over his life. “Oh, yeah, I mean going off the lyrics and everything – I could see that,” said Nate. “He was the best role model I could have had to help me be the dad that I am today.”

It was said that Nathan worked for Eminem’s team for a few years, though it was never disclosed what his position was while helping steer his brother’s successful career.
Nathan gave rapping a shot, having released a string of singles including Slide on Over and Shadow of a Celebrity. He has also been on multiple tours with Eminem and starred in several music videos for the 49-year-old in the past.

There’s no denying judging by Nathan’s social media account that he’s still very close to Eminem and his daughter Hailie, who makes an appearance on his Instagram account ever-so-often.
When Eminem graced the stage for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2022, Nathan, as seen on his Instagram, was in attendance, alongside Hailie, who posed for snaps with her uncle that were shared on the latter’s official IG.
As for Nathan’s relationship with his mom, while Eminem is said to have been much more forgiving about his mother’s past behavior, his brother is said to have not been so keen on the idea of a reconciliation, having deemed her as “mad” in a previous interview.
