The Duggars already have more grandchildren than most people have children.
You don’t have 19 children without eventually gaining even more grandchildren, and TLC’s Duggar family is on the fast track to having more grandchildren than they can keep track of. The Duggar grandchildren make up the extended Duggar family and on Counting On, fans have gotten to know the youngest new members of the growing family.
How many grandchildren do the Duggars have? It’s, uhm, a lot.
Once upon a time, patriarch Jim Bob Duggar was rumored to have said he wanted to have 100 grandchildren someday. So, how many Duggar grandchildren are there?
1. Josh and Anna Duggar got the baby train moving.
As the eldest of the Duggar children, Josh got married and started having kids of his own before any of his siblings. And once he and his wife Anna began, they didn’t really slow down.
These days, Josh and Anna have seven children — Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella, and Madyson.
2. Jill and Derick Dillard have three boys.
Jill and Derick Dillard currently have three little boys, Israel, Samuel, and their newest son Frederick, who was born in July 2022.
3. Jessa and Ben Seewald have four kids.
Jessa was arguably the star of Counting On, despite sharing the TLC spotlight with some of her siblings. Currently, she and Ben Seewald have two sons, Spurgeon and Henry, and two daughters, Ivy and Fern.
4. Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have two daughters so far.
Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo had a fairly quick courtship before they got married. While that’s not uncommon in the Duggar family, since no one technically “dates,” they did take a little more time to have their daughter, Felicity, who was born in June 2018. After experiencing a miscarriage in November 2019, Jinger welcomed a baby girl named Evangeline in November 2020.
5. Joseph and Kendra Duggar have three children.
Kendra explained during an episode of Counting On that she sometimes still feels too young to have a family already. But at the age of 23, she already has three children with husband Joseph Duggar: Garrett, Addison, and Brooklyn.
6. Joy and Austin Forsyth are also proud parents.
Joy-Anna is one of the younger adult Duggar children who got married and had a child shortly after, but she and Austin seem to have a solid relationship. They had their son, Gideon, not long after they were married. Sadly, Joy-Anna miscarried in 2019 at 20 weeks along during her second pregnancy; she and Austin named that baby girl Annabell.
Joy-Anna and Austin went on to welcome a daughter they named Evelyn in August 2020.
7. Josiah and Lauren Duggar welcomed their baby after an early loss.
Josiah and Lauren went through an early pregnancy loss shortly before Lauren got pregnant a second time. They welcomed their daughter, Bella, in November 2019.
8. John David and Abbie Duggar welcomed their first child in 2020 — and have another one on the way!
Abbie and John David announced they were expecting a baby in 2019. They welcomed a daughter named Grace Annette Duggar in January 2020. In May 2022, John and Abbie revealed baby No. 2 was on the way; they’re expecting a baby boy sometime in late summer 2022.
9. Jed and Katey Duggar welcomed a baby boy.
Jed and Katey announced in September 2021 that they were expecting their first child. They went on to welcome a baby boy they named Truett Oliver Duggar on May 2, 2022.
Jeremiah and Hannah Duggar are expecting their first child.
Jeremiah Duggar and Hannah Wissmann announced their engagement in January 2022. They went on to say “I do” on March 27, 2022. Just like many Duggar siblings before him, a baby announcement soon followed their wedding.
In late August 2022, Jer and Hannah revealed via Instagram that they were expecting their first child. They haven’t yet shared a due date, but if Hannah was 12 weeks along when they announced, she would be due sometime in mid-March 2023.
If you count up all their adult children’s little ones, Jim Bob, and Michelle currently have a whopping 24 grandkids and two on the way (that we know of).
