Madison “Madi” Prewett may not have found lasting love when she appeared on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor back in early 2020, but she has officially found the man of her dreams.
Following her July 2022 engagement with Grant Troutt, Madi delighted her fans in October 2022 when she revealed that she had walked down the aisle. Read on for all the details!
Madison Prewett married Grant Troutt, the son of billionaire Kenny Troutt.
Madi and Grant Troutt, who is a public speaker and minister, began dating at the end of 2021, and they went public with their romance in May 2022. By the very end of July, they were engaged, with Madi announcing the news on Aug. 1.
The influencer/former college basketball player has shared most of her and Grant’s wedding plans on her Instagram account. Over the past couple of months, she posted multiple snaps of their pre-wedding activities, like their bridal shower and her bachelorette party. Then, on Saturday, Oct. 29, the couple’s big day finally arrived.
The two were married at his parents’ home in Dallas, Texas, three months after their engagement.
Grant is the son of Lisa Copeland and Kenny Troutt. Grant’s father founded Excel Communications, a long-distance telecommunications company. In 1998, Kenny sold the company to Teleglobe for a cool $3.5 billion.
According to Forbes, Madi’s now-father-in-law has an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion. Madi, 26, and her also-26-year-old husband likely didn’t have to worry about a tight wedding budget like many other twenty-somethings!
According to People, the ceremony had 400 guests, including other Bachelor Nation stars Kelley Flanagan, Victoria Fuller, and Hannah Ann Sluss. Although Madi and Grant only had several weeks to plan their special day, they agreed the location and day fit their wedding goals perfectly.
“We chose this location because it’s unique and special to us and having all our friends and family there means so much,” Madi told People. “I have always wanted to get married in the fall, and we wanted a short engagement, so it couldn’t be more perfect.”
Grant Troutt proposed to Madi Prewett eight months into their relationship.
Back in August, Madi told People all about how the proposal went down.
“Grant was waiting for me and led me out to the beach, where he had candles and flowers and a Bible with my new name on it,” she said. “And the ring of my dreams!”
Before he proposed, Grant met with Madi’s loved ones several times to make sure that the details of the engagement would be perfect. He changed his plans a few times, but he ultimately settled on a beachfront proposal.
“He actually was supposed to come with me and my friends to Florida but he got sick and wasn’t able to make it. I thought we were celebrating one of our friend’s birthdays. I was told we were taking birthday pictures on the beach and when I came down, my best friend led me into the bathroom where my mom and sisters were with the dress I wanted to get engaged in…” she said. “In that moment, I knew.”
Grant popped the question with an oval-cut diamond sitting on a pavé ring. Madi and Grant said they planned on having a shorter engagement, and they told People that they wanted a “chic and classy wedding.”
“So now y’all know, I got the realist G in town. Grant Michael Troutt, so full of passion and purpose and joy, I am proud I get to do life with someone who loves Jesus and people like you do,” Madi wrote in a caption on her page. “The past 5 months have been the best and wildest adventure. Full of highs and lows but there’s nobody else in the world I’d rather do life with.”
Now, the two are “do[ing] life” together forever!
