Ivana’s cause of death was announced on July 15 by the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
A spokesperson for the Medical Examiner’s office said that Ivana’s cause of death was an accident that led to blunt impact trauma on her torso.
She was reported to have taken a fatal fall down the staircase of her Manhattan home.
