Kylie Jenner just shared a pic of her son with Travis Scott and revealed his name to her Instagram followers. Moreover, the baby’s reveal comes just weeks after the star couple reportedly broke up. Still, they’re one of the most beloved and discussed celebrity couples, and Kylie shared their son in a cute post.
Ladies and gentlemen, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s son is called “AIRE”. The name comes after Kylie teased her fans with several name guesses. The makeup mogul shared a mirror selfie holding her son in her right arm. She captioned the post with the baby’s supposed name: “AIRE.”
Following the name reveal, fans are still confused about why they changed their son’s name from Wolf Webster to Aire. Here’s what we know.
Why did Kylie and Travis change their baby’s name?
For your information, Kylie and Travis Scott’s son and second child was born to earth on February 2, 2022 (age 11 months as of the time of this article).
He was given the name Wolf Jacques Webster but it was changed on January 21 2023 to Aire. Wolf isn’t the only child of the makeup mogul and her rapper boyfriend Travis as he has a big sister named Stormi Webster.
Aire and Stormi share grandparents Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner, Wanda Webster, and Jacques Webster.
One month after her baby boy’s arrival, Kylie confirmed that she changed her son’s name after originally calling him Wolf and gave her own reasons for that. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,” she wrote via Instagram Story at the time.
During season 2 of The Kardashians, Kylie revealed she felt rushed to give her infant a name. “We thought it was going to come to us when we saw him and it didn’t. Then 24 hours before we had to sign the birth certificate — or else they register him without a name — so I felt the pressure to choose a name. Khloé Kardashian suggested Wolf and I liked the WW,” she explained on a September episode of the reality series. “So we put Wolf Webster in that moment and right after I signed the birth certificate I was like, ‘What did I just do?’”
At the time, Kylie joked that Travis, 31, has continued to suggest new options even after they settled on a replacement.
“Travis actually still changes his name a few times. He will come back and be like, ‘I really like this name.’ And I am like, ‘We can’t do this again.’ We are just waiting for him to name himself,” she added. “It is a part of his story but his name has changed.”
Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s baby’s new name reveal comes after the duo reportedly broke up.
Unfortunately, the name reveal coincided with the couple’s public breakup. Us Weekly reported on the story with some unnamed sources, and many in the media world followed suit.
“Kylie and Travis are off again, they were supposed to spend the holidays together, but she went to Aspen to be with her family and friends up there,” a source stated. “This has happened so many times before, they’re known to be on again off again, but always remain friends and great co-parents.”
HotNewHipHop also reported that the couple have split however, they’ll still remain, close friends, while co-parenting their two children together.
Meanwhile, the “SICKO MODE” rapper recently went out on the town for the first time since his split from the reality TV star. Moreover, the Houston artist landed down in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 8th. What’s more is that much of the reported reasoning around the split could be related to them not spending Christmas together.
Fans are to note that there hasn’t been a confirmation of the split from any of the Kardashians or the parties involved.
