Beta Squad is a group consisting of five English YouTubers; Niko Omilana, Chunkz, Aj Shabeel, Sharky, and KingKennyTv. Per their Fandom page, they launched the channel on February 14, 2019.
Beta Squad is a group based in London, England. They announced that they were starting the group and were moving into a mansion together on February 22, 2019, on their social media.
These are friends who met with a common goal. About their ethnicity; Chunkz, AJ, and Sharky are of Somali descent while Kenny and Niko are of Nigerian descent.
Their style of YouTubing mostly involves videos like pranks, Challenges, and vlogs which they do series such as “Who can “, “$10 vs $10,000” “Guess the…” and “Last to” videos. Their most viewed video on their channel features a member from Sidemen; KSI and is titled “Guess the Black Person ft KSI” which has gotten more than 21 million views.
They have their own Football club called “Beta squad Fc”. They had a game in September 2019 against Yung Filly‘s team “Afillyates Club de Futbol”. (Afillyates winning).
How was Beta Squad formed?
The Beta Squad team was built in February 2019. Before that, the boys were separately doing their solo vlogging on YouTube. Three of the five were first working together and the remaining two were also doing their own thing on the side on the same platform. They all knew each other in 2016.
Chunkz and Sharky started making videos together in 2015. Aj was Chunkz’s cameraman until he started appearing in their videos a few weeks later. Niko and Kenny were making videos on their own channels. Kenny and Niko were friends at this time. Niko met Chunkz in 2016 and they started collaborating together. This was the same year where they all met each other.
In early 2019 they moved into a mansion in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Where they filmed their challenge videos. They mostly filmed their videos in the public and they get recognized often.
